Poster Stamps

Some collectors use the catchall term "poster stamps" to refer to colorful stamps with no philatelic value. Others label these "Cinderellas", implying that they are of lesser value than postage stamps. Most poster stamps advertised products , exhibitions, or events and were originally affixed to envelopes, invoices or other paper items. Designed by known artists, many are examples of the finest graphic design of their time. Perhaps like Cinderella, the beauty in these miniature posters is waiting to be discovered.
