French Kodak Tin

This unusual tin is marked "Grand Prix Paris 1900". Perhaps Kodak produced a limited quantity and distributed them at one of the early Gran Prix auto races first organized in Paris in 1894.

The tin appears to have held a chemical powder used for film developing named iconogene. Instructions for use are printed on the inside of the lid.
