Camera collector
Frank B. Mehlenbacher of Rochester, New York (on the left with fellow
collector Nicholas M. Graver above), is the grandson of Frank Brownell,
inventor and manufacturer of Eastman's early cameras. The ads below
are from his huge and wonderful collection.
The Ensign ad looks a bit like a cyanotype. In the upper left corner is the artist's signature, probably a known graphic artist of the time. |
