Dort Touring car. The ad is undated but must be from around 1918 as it
states, "War time calls for economy--Luxuries should be put aside---Automobiles
are a necessity--Sound judgment dictates the consideration of cost and
upkeep. Four of the five passengers are women, including one with a camera photographing her friend in a blue-striped dress. Was this a nod to the Kodak Girl? Apparently a camera was a permissible necessity during wartime. |
